Best Fairy Story Ever
Those of you who follow me on Twitter would know that I went out on the weekend and had some fun. Fun is a subjective word and the one I choose to use here.

I received a general message from a friend on Saturday night inviting one and all to head to his place to drink. I had been planning to spend the evening sitting at home, reading, and relaxing with a drink or so myself, but after some hasty consideration I throw some stuff (rum mostly) into a bag and headed out.

Upon arriving I discovered that a friend of mine was there who was about to head out as his girlfriend had just turned up to give him a lift home. After some slightly intoxicated consideration the group of us decided to troop down to the car and attempt to guilt my friend's girlfriend into coming upstairs for a short while. I can't say how effective we were at the quilting (we did almost get run over by cars twice) but she did agree to come up for a while.

I can't say too much about what happened next, due to the ancient oath of What-Happens-In-Alcoholand-Stays-In-Alcoholand. I'm sure you understand. But somewhere between the rum, the vodka and the gin - especially the gin - I seemed to have become very very drunk.

I didn't drink that much, but man was I very far gone. The sort where you forget where you put your drink, decide you need to stop drinking, get dizzy no matter what do you and throw up blood. The last was the most fun, and as an example of irony occurred after I had decided that I'd had enough for the night. It was pretty light red so I wasn't too worried. I did however clean the toilet I threw up in, it seems the civilized thing to do.

The next day I was wrecked. I was the last to go to sleep and the first to wake up - as normal - but even then I only got up at 10:30am. The sun that morning seems unnaturally bright and vicious; even through the heavy curtains on the windows it was breaking through with what seemed an overbearing enthusiasm. I ventured outside soon after I woke up in search of fresh air, and did not last very long at all.

The very odd thing is that after we'd all sobered up a bit and ventured out, it was a very pleasant day. Cool, a fresh breeze and very, very pleasant air. I noted that the air seemed rather nice that day.

I was hanging around until that night for our weekly gaming session so I ventured off to buy a clean t-shirt. Between it, the copious amounts of water I had consumed that morning, a milk shake, some Chinese food and the free bottle of Samedi a mysterious young girl was giving out, I started to feel human again.

The game went pretty well, it was my first chance to use my new Changeling dice. They turned out pretty well, some very good rolls, mostly about average, no really bad results so I'm happy.

I just missed my train on the way home (the ticketing machine was out of order so I had to use the alternate one, making me about 15 seconds late) and I spent 30 minutes waiting at the station. By the time I got home it was just after midnight Monday morning, making my total outing last 30 hours. Not bad for something I almost didn't go to.
