I can't think up a witty subject line
It wasn't hot today by any definition of the word I care to recognise, less than 16C, yet somehow it feelt hot. The mystery isn't that hard to solve, it had been raining for weeks straight, the ground is soaked and there was standing water laying all about. Even when it stopped raining it remained humid - except humid isn't the right word. Humid doesn't quite cover it.
The best way to put it is: The air was wet.
